As our first blog post we found it fitting to introduce you to our leading lady, Karla Watson!
As you may have read on the website (or maybe you haven’t gotten that far…here is a handy link – https://www.tacthrservices.com/about) with Karla’s 15+ years of experience in multiple industries, she found that not all companies want to carry the over head of staff on hand and wanted more ‘a-la-cart’ options. So 3 years ago Karla started Tact HR Services inspiring to fill that need for on-demand Human Resources. Tact is breaking down barriers and putting a stop to the stigma that comes with HR all while helping companies and their employees achieve their goals.
I had fun playing the interviewer with Karla and I really feel if I hone my skills I could be the next Barbara Walters, anyway, without further ado…
Q. What is the best part of what you do on a daily basis?
A. I enjoy connecting to other people – my family, friends, and clients.
Q. Do you believe your profession is who you are or what you do?
A. I enjoy people and the energy they give me. I would say it is a bit of both as HR is all about people.
Q.What is your theme song?

Q. Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
A. No matter what business you are in, I think that the ability to connect with people and close a sale is an important skill to have.
Q.What problem do you feel like you solve for your clients?
A. Communication issues: How do I tell an employee their services are no longer needed here?, What is the best way to have my employees understand my expectations?, What do I say to an employee who is having performance issues?
Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?
A. Know-it-alls. I think we can always learn something new!
Q. What is your favourite place to travel and why?
A. Anywhere where I can enjoy time outside – a beach comes to mind!
Q. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would be the first thing you’d buy?
A. A trip around the world!!!
